Is This for Real? -- From Linda M.

I have to keep pinching myself to remember it is me and I am in this land across the sea where my Lord walked and talked and healed and challenged people to live as God’s people. I am so drawn to the land…the soil, the wild oats and the smell of them over-ripe in the fields under the scorching sun. I love seeing the goats and sheep, cattle and horses and even some camels grazing on the left-overs where the oats have been harvested. Most of all the realization that Jesus walked among these olive trees, snatched grain from the fields and figs from the trees on the way from here to there…and drew so many people to him…and touched them with the love of God. All of this is so holy…even as the particular sites are holy. I looked at the steps of the cave where tradition says Mary heard the news from the angel that she was to be a mother – of the Savior…and it was as though she was hearing it again…the story so clear in my head…and I felt like it was me hearing God’s call to trust in the new things God wants to bring about through even one such as me. This is just an amazing experience and I am ever so grateful to have it. Blessings to all of you who are journeying with us through prayer.
